About the role:

We are looking for a skilled and innovative DevOps Engineer to join team in a specialized software company that develops software for the publishing industry in the Nordics. You will manage and automate the infrastructure and ensure scalability, high availability and IT security. You must have in-depth knowledge of Red Hat-based Linux systems and experience with Oracle databases and Cloud platforms (preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).

Requirements:

• In-depth experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Oracle Linux administration.
• Proven expertise in Oracle database administration, including performance tuning and disaster recovery.
• Strong experience with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, with a preference for experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Perl).

Desirable:

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of AI/ML tools for DevOps (e.g., predictive maintenance).
• Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Oracle RMAN).
• Familiarity with network security and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Red Hat Linux systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. 
• Administer Oracle databases, including high availability and disaster recovery.
• Automate infrastructure with Ansible, Terraform, etc.
• Streamline CI/CD pipelines with development teams.
• Monitor systems, utilize AI/ML for proactive maintenance, and resolve performance issues.
